Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Solution Architect you'll be a pivotal team member who connects the client's technical, functional, and implementation requirements with a solution design and proposal. You'll work closely with clients and sellers to build solutions based on the client's business outcomes and known best practices for the technology and industry. In this fast-paced role, you'll design and construct work breakdown structures leading to rough order of magnitude estimates, pricing, and statements of work. A successful Solution Architect will demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to navigate data and people to find answers and present solutions that ensure world-class delivery.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Technology Skills: Skills and knowledge in IBM’s Infrastructure technologies (IBM System z).
• Experience in sizing and defining service-focused solutions, including functional and implementation requirements for design, development, integration, production support, and operations.
• Client Stakeholder Credibility Building: Experience in building credibility and a service-oriented approach with client stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to navigate complex client engagements.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Deep expertise in at least one of the following: IBM System z, z/OS, Machine Learning / AI on z, Data and Analytics on z, GDPS resiliency solutions, and automation.
• Experience working directly with clients to define technology solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Experience with IBM Software portfolio, such as IBM Data & AI products, is a plus.
• Knowledge of IBM Z modernization strategies and tools.
• Understanding of transaction processing systems and enterprise infrastructure design.
