CONSULTFIZ LATAM, a fully owned subsidiary of Confiz LLC, is looking for Engineer II - Java in Mexico with at least 3+ years of professional experience in delivering quality software, ideally across the full stack. Depending on expertise, strong candidates may be given additional responsibilities. Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative solutions to drive our business.
• Write clean, consistent, and elegant code to create scalable and reliable systems.
• Contribute to processes like continuous integration, continuous delivery, cloud migration, and test-driven development.
• Manage defect tracking, source code control, and software releases to ensure high-quality deployments.
• Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate within a SCRUM team on design and development.
• Transition from application development to support when needed to ensure timely assistance.
• Drive build and release plans for deploying applications to production.
• Assist in planning and analyzing high-level software strategies with the development manager.
• Stay current with industry trends and apply new technologies to architectural needs.
• Follow corporate policies and industry best practices in development.
• Provide analysis and design reviews to prevent duplication of efforts.
• Participate in rotating 24x7 shifts to support products.
• Work with business, infrastructure, and security teams on enhancements and bug fixes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in delivering quality software, across full stack preferred.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Cucumber automation testing, Java, Kafka, databases, Kubernetes, and RESTful services.
• Skills in analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and maintaining complex software.
• Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot; familiarity with other languages like Python, React, JavaScript, C# is a plus.
• Strong grasp of multiple tech stacks.
• Experience with backend databases (preferably Spanner), NoSQL, or Postgres.
• Understanding of RESTful architecture, microservices, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with AWS/GCP services.
• Familiarity with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and agile development practices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and testing tools.
• Experience with messaging middleware like Kafka and SQS.
• Proficiency in creating and consuming services using REST, SOAP, XML, JSON.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
