Job summary

Confiz is seeking a Software Engineer II based in Mexico to join a full-stack team responsible for building scalable identity and profile management solutions. You will design, develop, test, and maintain backend services in Java and Spring, and create frontend interfaces with React and JavaScript.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience developing, deploying, and supporting React-based UI applications and backend services.
• Strong proficiency in Java and RESTful Java services.
• Experience with React, Spring Boot, Node.js, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD and observability tools.

An Engineer is part of a key team of our Fortune 100 client responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable technology solutions that deliver exceptional customer experiences. As a Software Engineer II, you will be part of a full-stack engineering team focused on building and supporting customer identity and digital profile management systems across multiple channels.

You will collaborate with Product, Program, and Engineering teams to develop secure, reliable, and high-quality applications while taking ownership of services, applications, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications and backend services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality features and solutions.
• Develop and maintain RESTful services using Java and related frameworks.
• Build and support frontend applications using React and JavaScript.
• Conduct unit testing and support application reliability through automated testing practices.
• Identify and resolve performance issues, technical debt, and application defects.
• Apply secure coding practices and software engineering best practices.
• Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and application deployments.
• Monitor application health using metrics, alerts, dashboards, and observability tools.
• Participate in agile development processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

• 2+ years of professional experience developing, deploying, and supporting React-based UI applications and backend services.
• Strong proficiency in:
  • Java and RESTful Java services (required)
  • JUnit and Mockito for unit testing (required)
  • JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience or familiarity with:
  • React (preferred)
  • Spring Boot / Spring Framework
  • Node.js
  • MongoDB / DynamoDB
  • AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure
  • Kafka (preferred) / Amazon Kinesis
  • CI/CD methodologies and tools such as GitLab CI or Azure Pipelines
  • New Relic / Splunk
• Experience with Cypress for web automation testing is preferred.
• Experience with JMeter for performance and load testing is preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.

Education –

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
