Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer or Computer Scientist to develop and maintain Carrier eDesign tools for HVAC system design and energy modeling in buildings.

The role involves building desktop and web applications using C#, .NET, ReactJS, and AWS, performing testing, analyzing requirements, and collaborating with peers to deliver robust software—while adhering to coding standards and best practices.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience preferred.
• Proficiency with C#, .NET and Entity Framework.
• Experience with AWS deployment and cloud practices.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal & written).
• Experience with ReactJS and JavaScript in front-end development.
• Familiar with Visual Studio, XML, JSON, WPF and XAML.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Experience using AI tools for software development.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented Software Engineer or Computer Scientist to join our team. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Carrier eDesign software-based tools for the design and optimization of heating ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Developing desktop and web-based software applications for HVAC system design and energy modeling.
• Analyzing software requirements and design software solutions.
• Producing clean, efficient code that meets software requirements.
• Performing unit and system testing.
• Working collaboratively with other developers on development projects.
• Maintaining, troubleshooting, and debug existing software.
• Contributing to establishing department guidelines and standards for development of software.
• Evaluating and identifying new libraries, tools, and technologies for use by the software development team, as needed.

Requirements:

• Proficient with desktop software development using C#, .NET.
• Proficient with front-end web technologies including JavaScript and ReactJS
• Proficient with server-side and back-end technologies including C#, .NET, and Entity Framework.
• Understanding of object-oriented design and analysis (OOD and OOA)
• Knowledge of software development and deployment practices on AWS.
• Technology experience including Microsoft Visual Studio, XML, JSON, WPF, XAML.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation communication skills
• High level of verbal and written English language fluency.
• Experience using agentic AI tools for software development
• 3+ years of work experience as software engineer preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field of study.
