Formación

• 1-2 años de experiencia en ingeniería de software con enfoque en desarrollo frontend.
• Conocimientos en frameworks modernos de JavaScript como React.js, Angular o Vue.js.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

The Software Engineer I will play a pivotal role in software development activities and long-term initiative planning and collaboration across the Strategy & Transformation (S&T) organization. Software Engineering is the cornerstone of scalable digital transformation across PepsiCo’s value chain. This candidate will support the end-to-end software development experience and deliver high quality software as part of the DevOps process.

The candidate will be part of our software development team to ensure we deliver the best possible software solutions and ensure they are generating value through cost savings or incremental value. This candidate will work closely with the user experience, product, IT, and process engineering teams to develop new products and prioritize deliver solutions across S&T core priorities.

Your Impact

As Software Engineer, your responsibilities would consist of:

1. Support the vision and be part of the team of engineers to build and support digital products and solutions (DPS) across S&T core priorities.
2. Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
3. Collaborate with product managers, Scrum masters and team leads to take user stories and code them with proper development standards.
4. Support software development strategy utilizing industry standards. Create roadmap and timing of implementation of the roadmap based on business requirements and strategy.
5. Support expanding DPS capabilities through a customer obsessed, services-driven digital solutions platform that leverages data and AI to deliver automated and personalized experiences.
6. Help problem solve delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes tied to the engineering initiatives to the stakeholders.
7. Interact with key business partners to recommend solutions that best meet the strategic needs of the business.

Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on frontend development.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with state management libraries like Redux, Context API, or Vuex.
• Familiarity with mobile app development (iOS/Android) using React Native or similar frameworks (preferred).
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite, or Babel).
• Exposure to backend technologies and databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Couchbase) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience collaborating in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
• Solid grasp of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
• Strong attention to detail and extremely well-organized.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with multiple other teams.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with product, service design, and operations across the organization.
• Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to Engineering services, education, and support.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to navigate through a complex and matrixed internal environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units.
