About the CDMX team

Our brand-new Mexico City team is working closely with our U.S. engineering counterparts to build powerful, API-driven interfaces that enable cutting-edge AI-native initiatives. This team is all about building from the ground up (0→1 product development), driving innovation with autonomy, and cultivating a culture of self-sufficiency and technical excellence as we shape the future of continuous integration and delivery.

What You’ll Do:

• Become one of the founding engineers in CircleCI Mexico!
• Help us continue evolving the most trusted CI/CD platform for this new AI-native software development era.
• Develop and maintain interfaces for our systems to facilitate integration and interaction within our API ecosystem.
• Assist in building integrations with AI assistants like Cursor or Windsurf to enable direct interfacing with CircleCI.
• Implement solutions for testing tasks and data exchange, following established patterns and best practices.
• Help build for increased system volume, contributing to scalability and performance improvements.
• Develop new features and improve existing services under the guidance of senior team members.
• Write sustainable, testable, high-quality code with a focus on performance.
• Support and debug production microservices in our distributed system.
• Learn to use operational data and monitoring tools to help improve system stability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to understand business problems and contribute to solution development.

What You’ll Bring:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, with production experience writing code in Java or Go (and excited to become a Go expert with us ). Your broader background may span backend, frontend, AI/ML, or full-stack systems.
• Proven experience building and maintaining distributed systems in real-world production environments.
• Interest in improving customer experience and team productivity through well-designed solutions.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with test automation and CI/CD optimization.
• Interest in or experience with AI-powered engineering tools.
• Understanding of containerization and Kubernetes basics.

United States Base Pay Range $1,040,000 — $1,248,000 MXN
