In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive experience in building high-performing teams and launching scalable and resilient systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You will own the end-to-end technical delivery for your team — from setting architectural direction and driving operational excellence to growing engineering talent and partnering with product and business stakeholders across the Devices organization. This role requires a leader who can balance strategic technical vision with hands‑on execution, navigate ambiguity, and build a culture of innovation and inclusion.

If you are a results‑driven Engineering Manager with a passion for building great teams, we would love to hear from you.

About Us:

The Device Sales and Customer Experience (DSCX) organization plays a pivotal role in driving the success of Devices and Services, including Amazon Echo & Alexa products, Fire Tablets, Kindle E-readers, Fire TV products, and more. At the core of our responsibilities is the onsite shopping experience, where the team owns the worldwide technology powering detailed product pages. We also manage the installments and trade-in/pre‑owned businesses, ensuring a seamless customer journey. Our focus is on driving incremental sales through enhanced installment experiences for devices, personalization, multivariate testing, and trade‑in options. This helps maximize revenue opportunities and caters to diverse customer preferences. Beyond the onsite experience, we are responsible for creating a best‑in‑class experience for trade‑in programs, including developing an engaging and user‑friendly interface to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. To streamline operations, we oversee marketing automation, improving efficiency and reducing manual workloads. We also own data services, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering comprehensive cross‑product line and cross‑channel analytics. This data‑driven approach empowers us to make informed decisions and optimize our offerings.

Key job responsibilities

  • Team Management: Build and nurture a high‑performing organization through effective hiring, retention, performance management, mentoring, and skills development.

  • Architectural Oversight: Drive the architecture, design, implementation, and operational support of critical tools and services that align with our mission.

  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate complex business and technical requirements, communicating inherent risks and solutions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

  • Project Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project deliverables, managing expectations, priorities and collaboration across teams.

  • Standards and Processes: Establish high standards for processes and execution in all projects to ensure quality and efficiency.
