Job summary

Qualcomm ASIC Engineer in Baja California develops and documents IP/SoC for high-performance, low-power products, spanning digital and analog design. You will model, optimize, verify, and implement complex blocks with cross-functional teams to meet system goals.

The role requires advanced degrees and extensive ASIC experience, with proficiency in RTL to GDS, Virtuoso, and architecture/design tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in science/engineering and 8+ years ASIC experience.
Master's degree in science/engineering and 7+ years ASIC experience.
PhD in science/engineering and 6+ years ASIC experience.

Responsibilities

Defines, models, designs (digital and/or analog), optimizes, verifies, validates, implements, and documents IP/SoC development for high-performance, low-power products.
Creates advanced architectures, circuit specs, logic designs, and system simulations based on requirements.
Collaborates with software/hardware architecture, product management, and program management to meet system needs.
Acts as expert resource across design flow from high-level design to synthesis, place&route, timing and power use, and verification.
Uses tools (e.g., RTL to GDS Flow, Virtuoso) to enable architecture and design of complex blocks/SoCs; provides guidance to team members.
Writes detailed technical documentation for complex EDA/IP/ASIC projects; reviews docs for experienced engineers.
