AMETEK Inc. is seeking an SMT Technician to support day-to-day SMT processes including solder paste printer, inspection, pick & place, and reflow. You will maintain equipment, monitor quality, and drive KPI reporting while ensuring safety systems are active.

The role requires a strong background in SMT calibration, machine programming, and process validation, with 5+ years in SMT and related lean manufacturing tools. On-site in Reynosa, USD salary guidance applies.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic technology or related field; engineering degree preferred.
• 5+ years experience in SMT processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of SMT calibration, CpK, and SMT machine programming.
• Familiar with IPC-610 Class 3 requirements.
• Strong SMT knowledge with high troubleshooting capability.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain day-to-day SMT equipment and ensure uptime.
• Keep SMT equipment operating at good quality levels.
• Follow KPIs and provide a daily SMT performance report.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SMT equipment.
• Ensure safety systems on SMT equipment are functioning properly.
• Develop P&P and printer programs and validations.
• Develop reflow profiles and validations.

The SMT Technician will support the day to today SMT processes: Solder Paste Printer, Solder Paste Inspection, Pick & Place and Reflow Process. SMT Technician will support any issue of the SMT equipment and/or the process.

Responsibilities & Skills:

• Responsible for the day-to-day SMT equipment
• Responsible to have the SMT equipment working at good quality level.
• Follow the KPIs, provide a daily report of the SMT performance.
• Responsible of the preventive and corrective maintenance of the SMT equipment
• Responsible that the safety systems of the SMT equipment are working properly.
• Develop the P&P programs and validations.
• Develop printer programs and validations.
• Develop reflow profiles and validations.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic technician or related field. Plus, Engineering Degree.
• 5 years or more experience on the SMT process.
• Knowledge of the SMT equipment calibration.
• Knowledge of the Capability Analysis – Cpk.
• Knowledge of SMT machines programing.
• Knowledge on the IPC-610 Criteria Class 3.
• Strong SMT knowledge.
• High equipment troubleshooting knowledge.
• Juki placement machines, Dek printer machine and Vitronic Reflow Oven Knowledge
• Pneumatic, PLC, electric control Knowledge.
• Lean manufacturing tools.
