Collins Aerospace in Mexicali, Mexico is seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to oversee daily operations in an assembly environment, driving production goals with quality and cost targets.
The role requires strong Lean/Six Sigma background, 8 years in manufacturing with 5+ in leadership, and hands-on SMT process knowledge (Pick and Place, Solder Paste, AOI, ICT). Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and occasional US travel may be required.

Hold accountability for daily operation and meeting production goals in a timely and accurate manner within an assembly process or similar assigned area. Implements production plans and provides feedback around product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply constraints, schedules and staffing requirements to meet given objectives. Implement activities in the production area to ensure timely, high quality production at the lowest cost consistent with the quality requirements. Provide focus to the production team to execute to quality, schedule and cost expectations. Implements given operating plans and operating budget. Execute given priorities to ensure the most efficient and effective production schedule and staffing plan. Executes to the given budget targets. Develops daily plans to meet production needs. Implement and executes specific components of quality improvement, Lean and Six Sigma programs. Accountable for reduction of cost and waste within production. Improves productivity by implementing best practices. Accountable for implementing given schedules and expenditure constraints for direct and indirect labor. May plan details of staffing and labor around given priorities. Develop and execute detailed project plans, ensuring effective communication with internal and external teams, and optimally managing resources to meet established deadlines, budgets, and objectives. Manage and effectively resolve conflicts in cross-functional environments, facilitating mutually beneficial agreements through strategic negotiation skills that promote collaboration and achievement of organizational goals. Position may include occasional travel to the United States, as required by business needs, and might require obtaining a visa. Requires proficiency in English and Spanish to effectively communicate across diverse teams, deliver presentations, lead meetings, and facilitate discussions with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment on business objectives. Maintain schedule flexibility and availability to support the operational needs of the position.
