What You’ll Be Doing

• Build Reliable Systems: Design and troubleshoot cloud-based systems to ensure they run smoothly and support uninterrupted learning for students and educators.
• Improve Infrastructure: Work on making systems more resilient and scalable to meet the growing needs of education platforms.
• Automate Processes: Create tools and workflows that make infrastructure easier to manage and monitor, ensuring everything is transparent and repeatable.
• Solve Problems: Help resolve issues quickly during on-call rotations and work on long-term fixes to prevent disruptions in the future.
• Collaborate with Teams: Partner with stakeholders to create solutions that meet the unique needs of education, while following best practices like agile workflows and secure development methods.
• Strengthen Systems: Participate in testing and learning new tools to make systems more reliable and ready for unexpected challenges.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: At least 5 years working in roles like SRE or DevOps ideally supporting large-scale applications.
• Problem-Solving Skills: A thoughtful approach to diagnosing and fixing issues, with a focus on improving systems over time.
• AWS Knowledge: Hands-on experience with key AWS services.
• Terraform Skills: Ability to use Terraform to build and manage cloud infrastructure efficiently.
• CI/CD Experience: Familiarity with tools like GitHub Actions to streamline software delivery processes.
• Monitoring Tools: Experience with platforms like New Relic or Datadog to keep systems running smoothly and identify areas for improvement.
