PROPÓSITO DE LA POSICIÓN
The Innovation Quality Expert plays an important role to embed and influence quality in innovations, renovations and savings projects for new business models. The main responsibility is to define quality requirements relevant to the model, co-create process and ways-of-working, provide technical support; as well as influence that applicable Unilever quality and innovation frameworks and tools are being followed (such as risk assessment and risk mitigation, building in consumer feedback and learnings from previous projects, launch monitoring plans, post-launch evaluations, hygienic assessment, statistical analysis). The Innovation Quality Expert will interface with all relevant functions and areas (incl. Marketing, R&D, Legal, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Sourcing Units, Planning, Receiving Units, Procurement, local, regional, and global Quality teams) to guarantee alignment and engagement in all quality related activities.
PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILIDADES
- Understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
- Devising and reviewing specifications for products or processes.
- Setting requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitoring their compliance.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations.
- Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback.
- Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
- Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements.
- Approve the right products or reject defectives.
- Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis.
- Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives.
- Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.
- Prepare and lead COFEPRIS and internal audits. Compliance and regulatory.

¿QUÉ NECESITAS PARA APLICAR A LA VACANTE?Experiencia, habilidades y liderazgo- Provide quality inputs for business decision making forums.
- Supports Unilever Quality strategy, governance and goals through specific projects and targets.
- Define and implement end to end quality requirements for new business models and new channels. Responsible for quality management of LatAm innovations, renovations and savings projects and products for Unilever sourcing units and External Partners (such as Collaborative Manufacturers, Licensees, Customers, Repackers, and others).
- Support roll out of new Brands or Categories into LatAm by partnering with Brand, R&D and Supply Chain, embedding Quality requirements to ensure Consumer Safety and Satisfaction.
- Coordinate alongside Quality Capabilities on key Quality elements to be embedded in new business models.
- Provide overall quality coaching and upskilling to other teams involved in the innovation process [e.g. Marketing, Research & Development, Planning, Collaborative Manufacturing Operations, etc].
- Coach and support project leaders on risk management for Innovation, renovation and savings projects; including risk identification, mitigation/contingency plan, recommendation, follow ups and communication to stakeholders.
- Provide support on continuous improvement for innovation framework and tools on mergers and acquisitions and different business models.
- Identify and transfer "Best Practices" and "Lessons learned" across divisions as well as across LatAm Quality community.
- Support and drive Incident Root Cause analysis.
- Facilitate quality data analysis related to projects and innovations [e.g.post-launch evaluation, consumer feedback, product inspections]. Ad hoc monitoring, analysis, and reporting of other data to identify potential problems/trends.
- Support transition of Innovations from Mergers & Acquisitions, new business and new channels into Unilever models.
Education: Degree level, in a Business, Science (Chemistry, Microbiology, Foods Science), or Engineering discipline.
