Symbotic is seeking a Site EHS Coordinator to join our Environmental, Health & Safety team at the Mexico site. You will support day-to-day EHS activities, ensuring compliance with STPS NOM standards, contractor safety requirements, and company safety procedures across construction, commissioning, and operations.

The role requires 5+ years in EHS within industrial settings, fluency in Spanish and English, and a degree in a related field.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety/Environmental field or related area.
  • Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in construction, commissioning, industrial ops, or manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of STPS NOM regulatory requirements in Mexico.
  • Familiarity with DC-3 training documentation preferred.
  • Experience with safety activities in automation/robotics environments.
  • Ability to conduct inspections, document incidents and track corrective actions.

Responsabilidades

  • Support implementation of STPS NOM requirements and EHS procedures at site level.
  • Assist with EHS activities during installation, commissioning and startup.
  • Coordinate contractor safety documentation and site safety requirements.
  • Monitor programs like LOTO, Work at Height, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, Arc Flash, Hot Work.
  • Conduct site walks, hazard observations and follow‑ups on corrective actions.
  • Maintain EHS records and support incident documentation and governance.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and contractors on IMSS‑related records and actions.

What We Need

We are looking for a Site EHS Coordinator to join our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team within our Operations Organization. Your job will be to support day-to-day EHS activities at site level, helping ensure compliance with applicable STPS NOM standards, contractor safety requirements, and company safety procedures while promoting a safe working environment across construction, commissioning, and operational activities in Mexico.

What You’ll Do
  • Support implementation of applicable STPS NOM requirements and company EHS procedures by helping translate standards into site-level practices.
  • Assist with EHS activities during installation, commissioning, and operational start-up to help maintain safe work conditions.
  • Coordinate contractor safety documentation, including safety plans, training records, DC-3 documentation, and site safety requirements.
  • Help monitor critical safety programs such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Work at Height, Confined Space Entry, Electrical Safety, Arc Flash, and Hot Work.
  • Conduct routine site walks, hazard observations, safety checks, and follow‑up on corrective actions with appropriate guidance.
  • Maintain EHS records, support incident documentation, assist with Mexico IMSS governance documentation and process tracking, and communicate safety updates to site leaders, contractors, and operations teams.
  • Support coordination with internal teams, contractors, and local partners to help ensure Mexico IMSS‑related requirements, records, and follow‑up actions are completed in alignment with site governance processes.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience supporting construction, commissioning, industrial operations, warehouse, or manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of STPS NOM regulatory requirements in Mexico and familiarity with DC-3 training documentation preferred.
  • Experience supporting safety activities in automation, robotics, material handling, industrial installation, or related environments preferred.
  • Ability to support safety inspections, maintain documentation, assist with incident follow‑up, and track corrective actions.
  • Fluent Spanish with professional working proficiency in English; safety‑related certifications or training preferred.
Our Environment
  • Up to 10% of travel may be required; travel during onboarding/training will be up to 60%.
  • Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
  • US VISA is a plus.
  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed bi‑weekly.
  • Site‑based position.
  • Ability to climb stairs and work in heights.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee frequently needs to work at heights of up to 45 feet and in confined spaces as narrow as 24 inches.
  • This includes tasks that require standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must adhere to all safety requirements and protocols, including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout and fall protection safety protocols.
  • You will need to climb steep stairs to access the structure and may be required to regularly walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation setup.
  • You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground.
  • Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes.
  • Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
