Prysmian is seeking an HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Coordinator for our plant in Mexico. You will lead risk prevention, design and continuously improve HSE programs and ensure compliance with national and international regulations.

The role involves coordinating audits, defining KPIs, managing area suppliers, and promoting a safety culture to guarantee operational continuity. The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree, 10+ years in HSE in industrial environments, and

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Chemistry or related field.
  • Specialization in Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Management Systems.
  • 10+ years of experience in HSE management in industrial settings.
  • Advanced English desirable.
  • Experience with IMS and ISO standards.

Responsabilidades

  • Establish and maintain the HSE Management System compliant with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee actions from internal and external audits.
  • Define KPIs and strategies to prevent incidents.
  • Coordinate annual HSE training for all employees.
  • Supervise supplier selection in collaboration with purchasing.
  • Represent company before authorities and media on safety and environment issues.
  • Participate in strategic meetings to communicate HSE objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with STPS and national regulations.

Team Overview And Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Coordinator to lead the risk prevention strategy at our plant in Mexico. This position will be responsible for designing, implementing and continuously improving HSE programs, ensuring a safe, healthy and sustainable working environment, as well as compliance with applicable national and international regulations. The ideal candidate will coordinate internal and external audits, define KPIs, manage suppliers in the area and represent the company before authorities and the media on safety and environmental issues. In addition, it will promote a safety culture based on conduct and guarantee operational continuity under standards of excellence.

Required Knowledge
  • Professional training in Industrial Engineering or Chemical Engineering
  • Specialization in Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Management Systems
  • Mayor 10 years of experience in similar roles within industrial environments
  • Advanced English desirable
  • Knowledge in Integrated Management Systems (IMS)
  • Experience in compliance with legal requirements in IMS
  • Certification as an internal auditor in ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001
  • Proficiency in interpretation and implementation of ISO standards
Job Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain the HSE Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, ensuring effective corrective actions
  • Supervise compliance with actions derived from internal and external audits
  • Define KPIs and strategies for the prevention of accidents and incidents
  • Coordinate annual HSE training for all employees
  • Stop any activity that represents a risk to health,
  • Select HSE-related suppliers in conjunction with the purchasing area
  • Represent the company before authorities and the media in the absence of HR management
  • Actively participate in strategic meetings to communicate HSE objectives
  • Ensure compliance with corporate protocols and national regulations (STPS)
  • Promote a safety culture based on conduct and teamwork
  • Implement annual safety and environmental plans environment
  • Ensure the effective execution of HSE processes to avoid rework
Who are we looking for?
