This position reports to

Local Division Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate in conjunction with the Sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology. Each day, you will determine costs, prepare final documentation, and serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by performing lost proposal analysis, identifying potential causes, and recommending future actions. The work model for the role is: #LI-Remote. This role is contributing to the Process Automation Marine & Ports division in Mexico. You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Support in developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers
  2. Prepare customer proposals, cost calculations, and sales support material
  3. Maintain the Strategy process for a defined area (geographic, organization, offering-wise)
  4. Identify and drive jointly agreed development initiatives
  5. Identify needs of prospective customers
  6. Identify cost savings and profitability opportunities. Responsible for providing input, support, and leadership to development plans and initiatives
  7. Participation in local and regional level strategy work and initiatives

Qualifications for the role

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, and knows how to build commitment within diverse and fragmented environments
  • Bachelor's degree (Electrical Engineer, IT, Mechanical Engineer)
  • Tendering experience
  • 2 years in marine industry, electrical engineering, or diesel engine experience as a plus
  • Openness to new ideas, excellent in prioritizing and providing leadership to others in seeing the “big picture”
  • Capable of forming professional and effective working relationships with customers and within internal teams
