Sensory Analyst & Panel Leader, your future role?

You will manage and conduct sensory panels, gathering and analysing results to provide insights to develop new fragrances solutions for our customers. You will play an important part in ensuring our customers' satisfaction and the growth of our Fragrances business in Mexico.

You will report into the Senior Science & Technology Manager and work on-site in our Fragrances corporate building located in Polanco, Mexico City.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Project management

• Based on project objective and sensory testing needs, recommend approaches and collaborate with teams and sensory project managers.
• Lead administration of internal panels including overseeing recruitment (selection, screening and training), yearly schedule, contracts and reviews.
• Maintain quality of panellists by overseeing performance and retrain.
• Moderate and provide appropriate training for groups of tasters to capture sensory information.
• Prepare and maintain samples of reference materials for all panels and maintain fragrances language library working together Fragrances Creation and Application.

Sensory Innovation

• Develop new protocols for evaluations to achieve sensory testing goals and contribute to development of new sensory methods and state-of the-art technologies.

Data Collection and Analysis

• Work with applications teams to coordinate preparation of products for panel and validate products for sensory testing
• Pre-screen products, plan number of sessions needed, advise on product evaluation.
• Prepare computer designs for data collection and to accomplish studies.
• Maintain accurate records of all sensory testing: create and enter information in sensory system
• Conduct standard statistical analysis, interpret results, write top-line reports and provide results to internal and external customers.

You?

Your professional profile must include:

• University Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Psychology or related area experience in industry.
• 3 years of experience leading sensory panels including descriptive, consumer or quality control panels in the Fragrances or Consumer Products industries.
• Experience managing multiple sensory projects.
• Knowledge of statistical approaches and software applied to sensory projects.
• Experience completing studies using sensory software.
• Upper-intermediate level of English.
