Qualcomm Semiconductores y Sistemas Avanzados de Baja California in Tijuana is seeking a support engineer to help other engineering teams use CAD tools and automation flows developed by Qualcomm's frontend CAD group. You will create documentation, provide internal training, and help ensure reliability of automation processes.

The role requires a degree in CS or EE, familiarity with Linux, and programming skills in Python, Perl, TCL, and GNU Make.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiar with Linux operating system.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Perl, TCL, and GNU Make.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Plus: Knowledge in VLSI design and verification and EDA tools.

Responsabilidades

• Apply engineering principles to develop and optimize CAD tools and flows.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for automation processes and tools.
• Provide technical support and training to internal teams on CAD automation workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation improvements.
• Coordinate issues with HW, SW, IT, and EDA teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Conduct self-guided research and stay updated with industry trends.
• Propose and execute innovative solutions to enhance CAD automation capabilities.
