Google User Experience (UX) is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. The UX team cares deeply about the people who use our products and collaborates with engineering and product management to create industry-leading products that deliver value for users and Google’s businesses.

As an Interaction Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution. You’ll collaborate with design partners to evolve the Google design language and build products that people love to use.

Corporate Engineering UX’s mission is to build world-leading business solutions that scale a more helpful Google for everyone. Enterprise Specialist UX’s mission is to transform the most complex business processes into human-centered, AI-powered experiences that empower Googlers and drive outcomes for Google.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products, owning and advocating for design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure to enable safe, coherent experiences and drive innovation.

Responsibilities

• Fuel our team’s User Centered Design approach, developing the overall UX strategy in your product area and influencing the product roadmap.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Partner with UX Research, Content Strategy, UX Engineering, and other horizontals to bring the full suite of UX skills to your product area.
• Communicate with audiences, including product teams and business stakeholders, through written and verbal presentations.
• Create presentations, journeys, user flows, wireframes, and other artifacts to share as part of an open UX process with our stakeholder group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
• Experience designing and shipping successful software design experiences for multiple device types and contexts.

Preferred qualifications

• 2 years of experience leading design projects in a complex, cross-functional organization.
• Experience designing enterprise, data infrastructure, or high-complexity software to design robust enterprise applications.
• Experience designing for AI-powered systems and agentic technologies.
• Knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and usability with excellent interaction design skills.
• Clean visual design sense and obsessive attention to detail.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
