Placements24 is seeking a Transportation and Traffic Civil Engineer to join our client in Tijuana, Baja California, MX. You will plan, design, and implement safe and efficient transportation systems, including roadways, intersections, and public transit infrastructure.

The role requires 5+ years in transportation engineering, proficiency with VISSIM/SIDRA/Synchro and AutoCAD, and collaboration with urban planners and authorities to advance mobility and urban development along the border region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of transportation engineering and traffic analysis experience.
• Proficiency in traffic analysis software and CAD tools.
• Strong knowledge of geometric design principles for roadways.
• Familiarity with local traffic patterns and regulations in Tijuana, MX is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan transportation infrastructure, including highways, streets, and intersections.
• Conduct traffic studies, analyses, and capacity assessments.
• Develop traffic control plans and signal timing strategies.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant transportation standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and other engineers.
• Perform site visits for data collection and construction oversight.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing transportation networks.
• Utilize transportation modeling software and CAD tools.
• Contribute to the development of long-term transportation master plans.
