Formación

  • 5+ años de experiencia en gestión de activos eólicos.

For our Company Vector Renewables, we’re looking for a Senior Technical Asset Management Specialist for Wind!

Job Description:

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Analyze and follow up on results of daily monitoring of the performance and events allocation performed by control room about Wind scale assets.
  2. Cooperate with control room to collect events affecting plant production and availability as mapped on internal monitoring platform and coordinate with onsite operators to solve the incidents.
  3. Follow-up with onsite O&M and third parties to properly address availability related to the events, in particular assigning properly the ones affecting contractual KPIs related to performance bonuses and liquidated damages.
  4. Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance by O&M contractors validating scheduling and reporting and tracking deadlines.
  5. Cooperate in the day-to-day with site manager to have a complete overview of the activities and status of the Wind assets.
  6. Collect and validate offers including mini-tenders for specific activities onsite, backoffice or other services (energy sale and purchase, REGOs, insurance, TLC services, etc.), follow-up with the Client giving technical advice to select the one that best meets the needs and support Client in main tender process for components and services.
  7. Advise Client in main tender process to select or renew main contractors or to select specialist providers.
  8. Supervise insurance and warranty claims also collecting and producing specific reports (fault with business interruption, results of lab or onsite tests, theft events and intrusion, etc.).
  9. Supervise publishing of correct energy figures for energy sales purposes including claim in case of discrepancies.
  10. Supervise correct application of grid curtailment and other partial or complete shutdown based on environmental conditions and permits obligation.
  11. Monitor obligations related to limitation of reactive power and energy quality control.
  12. Monitor and coordinate correct and timely execution by onsite providers of all the activities required to grant full compliance to permits in place including performing environmental sampling and mapping and reporting of data to public authorities.
  13. Cooperate with Technical Advisory team to spot any potential revamping, repowering reengineering activities, presenting to the Client the opportunities also supporting internal or external consultants in delivering reports.
  14. Periodical site visits to check the conditions of the plants under supervision following internal procedures also related to HSE obligations and collect photo and other data to produce reports, including follow-up with Clients and O&M operator in dedicated calls or meetings.
  15. Supervise production and validate before delivery of all the scheduled reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly) including technical and revenues assuring all the important information are properly reported and follow-up with the Client to discuss about results.
  16. Advise Client about potential tests to be performed to spot trends and criticalities in case of underperformances.
  17. Coordinate with accounting for approval of invoices about services delivered by third parties and other OPEX services related to plant operation and maintenance.
  18. Support the Client in defining spare parts strategy including definition of budgets for activities and components replacement.
  19. Support to administration and tax specialist sharing technical information required for administrative purposes.
  20. Report to the client, and the financing parties, the main parameters of the technical performance of the plants in compliance with the contractual obligations.
  21. Supervise the contracts in place, mainly the O&M ones, checking all the obligations are met and the guaranteed metrics have been achieved.
  22. Coordinate with all the bodies involved in the operation (local regulator, grid operator, municipalities, authorities) to comply with the regulations and operate to assure compliance toward Mexican regulatory requirements.
  23. Support engineering department in project analysis to spot potential wrong design causing recursive underperformances and faults.
  24. Support business development in market studies and evaluating the scope of work and the effort required supporting the production and delivery of commercial proposals to new Clients, also including participation to calls and meeting with new potential Clients to properly understand requirement and expectations.
  25. Participate from time to time in technical events, meeting and fair representing the company and supporting brand positioning also including public speaking in panels.

Key Requirements

  1. Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in Wind.
  3. Computer Skills: Microsoft Office package.
  4. Language Skills: Fluent Spanish and English.
  5. Mastery of the regulatory and compliance activities required in Mexico.
  6. Driving license and availability to travel time to time.
  7. Client management and Customer Service oriented mindset.
  8. Ability to work in a team with junior and senior profiles.
  9. Cooperation contamination with colleagues based worldwide.
  10. Inclination to pass knowledge to more junior profiles.
  11. Mastery of the Mexican electricity market and main players involved.
  12. Mastery about regulatory and HSE topics related to Wind in Mexico.
  13. Deep technical knowledge of Wind power generation and main incidents and issues, proven onsite experience is a plus.
  14. Problem solving in a proactive way, accuracy and teamwork are mandatory.
