Mateatleta in Mexico is hiring a Senior Teacher Associate to deliver engaging math and science lessons to students from elementary through university level. You will teach in English, Spanish, or a fully bilingual format, guiding learners through SAT/ACT prep and US Common Core-aligned curricula.

Qualifications

• English proficiency must be at least B2, capable of teaching STEM subjects in English or Spanish.
• Knowledge of US Common Core Standards and SAT/ACT test prep methodologies.
• Strong command of middle school to introductory college mathematics and sciences.
• Excellent client-facing and relationship-management skills with demanding parents.
• Reliable home office setup with stable internet, webcam, and microphone.
• Minimum 1–2 years tutoring or teaching experience with proven results.
• Must be based in Mexico and legally eligible to work.

Role Overview

As a Senior Teacher Associate, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, clear, and high-yield math and science lessons to elementary, middle school, high school, and university students.

You will work with high-demanding families, guiding students through advanced topics, standardized test preparation (SAT/ACT), and core school curriculums in either English, Spanish, or a fully Bilingual format.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, interactive online 1:1 or small-group sessions in Math and/or Science.
• Prepare students for standardized exams (SAT, ACT) and align lessons with US Common Core standards.
• Adapt complex STEM concepts into simple, intuitive, and actionable mental models tailored to each student’s learning style.
• Foster a positive, high-performance, and encouraging virtual learning environment.
• Maintain clear, professional, and empathetic communication with students, parents, and the Mateatleta academic team.
• Provide continuous feedback and track student progress to guarantee measurable grade improvements.
• (Optional) Contribute to curriculum design, diagnostic tools, and educational content development (extra compensation provided per project).

Requirements

• English Proficiency: B2 Upper-Intermediate level or higher is MANDATORY (C1/C2 or Native/Bilingual preferred). You must be capable of teaching technical STEM subjects fluently in English, Spanish, or both.
• Academic Standards: Solid familiarity with the US Common Core State Standards and/or test prep methodologies for the SAT and ACT (Math & Science sections).
• Subject Mastery: Strong command of middle school, high school, and introductory college-level Mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus) and/or Sciences (Physics, Chemistry).
• Communication & Soft Skills: Outstanding client-facing, relationship-management, and customer service skills—especially when communicating with demanding parents and high-achieving students.
• Technical Setup: Access to a reliable high-speed internet connection, a HD webcam, a clear microphone, and a quiet, professional environment.
• Experience: Previous tutoring or teaching experience (minimum 1–2 years) with proven track record of student results.
• Work Eligibility: MANDATORY. Candidates must be based in Mexico and legally authorized to work in Mexico (Mexican citizens or foreign residents with valid legal work authorization).
