Job summary

Hussmann, a Panasonic company, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead OSAs, PPAP, and supplier development initiatives. The role focuses on reducing external failure and internal defects while coordinating with suppliers, design engineering, and supply chain.

The candidate will drive corrective actions, perform root-cause analysis, and guide supplier assessments to maintain quality standards across commodities and product development programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
• Minimum of 5 years quality-related experience.
• Experience in Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Manufacturing or Operations preferred.
• Willingness to travel 25%–50%.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Serves as active quality liaison between suppliers and internal teams when major quality problems exist.
• Leads corrective actions and root-cause analysis for supplier issues.
• Conducts supplier assessments to qualify new or evaluate existing suppliers.
• Drives PPAP and quality improvement using PFMEA, process flow charts, control plans, and capability studies.
• Monitors supplier performance using scorecards and metrics.
• Assists with statistical analysis of process potential (Ppk) and process capability (Cpk).
• Supports setting quality targets and monitoring PPAP completion and on-time delivery.
• Promotes Six Sigma and lean tools to reduce total cost per part.
• Represents the company professionally to external parties (customers and suppliers).
• Maintains supplier quality requirements for new product developments.
