Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive supplier quality and manufacturing improvements across key suppliers. You will lead quality programs, support product certification, and coach supplier teams to meet PPAP and FPY targets while improving warranty metrics.

Requirements include 3–6 years in quality and supplier quality, strong use of APQP, FMEA, PPAP, and 8D problem solving, plus excellent English communication. Expect ~30% travel and collaboration with global teams.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English in a business environment.

  • Achieve objectives for quality, warranty spend, SPPM, FPY and safety.
  • Approximately 30% travel as needed; act as quality expert for investigations.

About the role

The Quality Engineer professional works as an individual contributor to achieve objectives that have a significant impact on area of responsibility. Manages Quality Engineering processes and/or projects, and uses experience and knowledge to influence the development, modification, application, and maintenance, or quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Driving Carrier Supplier Excellence performance for assigned suppliers.
  • Supplier manufacturing quality – drive implementation of product certification (Pro-Cert) and Quality improvements at key Carrier suppliers
  • Provide on-site guidance and coaching to key suppliers to drive improvements in performance and championing onsite Supplier Quality Audits and Process Audits
  • Design for manufacturing improvements on future products
  • Support the Carrier manufacturing plants in improving PPAP completion/readiness.
  • Work with suppliers to improve warranty
  • Act as a coach/facilitator for supplier quality improvement events and teaching quality tools
  • Attain business objectives for quality, warranty spend, SPPM, FPY and safety

Approximately 30% travel will be required (as needed) Serving as quality expert in support of quality/compliance investigations, as required with the supplier base.

Requirements
  • Experience in quality and supplier quality disciplines with 3-6 years of direct work experience in quality, manufacturing, and engineering applying the quality tools including APQP, FMEA, Control plans, PPAP, Supplier Audits (similar to CQS, ISO/IATF), SPC, MSA, DoE and RRCA tools to drive zero defect quality
  • Strong organization, interpersonal and problem-solving / 8D / Look Across skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
  • Excellent project management skills and comfortable communicating at all levels of management and with external customers and suppliers
  • Bachelors degree
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English in a business environment

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have: Six Sigma black belt
