Responsibilities

Plans and directs activities at suppliers related to the development, construction, and verification of production components, tools, gages, and processes to automotive and industry quality standards.

Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Plan and lead APQP and PPAP with suppliers and cross-functional Inalfa team during launches
• Facilitate seamless tool and business transfers from underperforming suppliers to new ones
• Represent Inalfa as a subject matter expert in assigned commodity
• Lead potential supplier evaluations by auditing to IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards
• Lead internal and second-party system, process, and product audits
• Manage issue escalations and corrective actions with suppliers
• Coordinate component engineering changes affecting the entire region or globally
• Utilize advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues
• Maintain strong GD&T, tooling, and check fixture knowledge; experience with check fixture design and build
• Travel required up to 75% in Mexico, the United States, and other countries
• Interface professionally with Customers, Suppliers, Purchasing, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Operations, and Third-Party sorting companies
• Follow up on specific activities assigned by the manager
• Previous managerial experience is preferred at a Tier 1 supplier

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Metals, or Glass
• Minimum 5 years in Automotive Quality
• Broad experience with various commodities and processes in the automotive supply sector
• Supplier Quality Tier 1 launch experience and Second-Party Auditing experience; Lead Auditor credentials preferred
• Knowledge of AIAG Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, VDA, AIAG FMEA, SPC, CQI-19 Sub-supplier Management
• Understanding of AIAG CQI Process Requirements, Customer-Specific Requirements, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3: 2023
• Experience with tooling, check fixtures, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, PDCA, Six Sigma Problem Solving, and Lean Manufacturing
• Fluent in English
