Job summary

OPmobility SE is seeking a Structural Simulation Engineer in Monterrey to lead automotive lighting simulations and validation. You will perform linear and non-linear analyses, mesh with ANSA, and use NX Nastran and LS-DYNA to evaluate strength, durability, and safety under static, dynamic, and crash conditions.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in thermal design and simulation for automotive lighting, plus BE/ME in Mechanical or Aerospace and hands-on experience with DFMEA and DVP&R.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in thermal design and simulation.
• Strong background in automotive lighting systems and structural management.
• Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and design reviews of lighting systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural simulations of automotive lighting components and assemblies under static, dynamic vibration, and impact loading.
• Use ANSA for meshing and pre-processing of complex geometries.
• Conduct linear static, modal, and frequency response analyses in NX Nastran.
• Simulate non-linear analyses such as drop, impact, crash, and thermal-stress interactions using LS-DYNA or NX.
• Correlate simulation models with physical test results and document findings.
• Ensure compliance with OEM and regulatory requirements for mechanical performance and durability.
• Participate in DFMEA, DVP&R, and design reviews of lighting systems.
• Support validation activities including test plans, instrumentation, and data analysis.
• Document results and present to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with design, testing, manufacturing, and quality to drive design improvements.
