Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Stress Engineer to substantiate structural integrity for engineering changes across Gulfstream models. Responsibilities include detailed stress analysis using FEM and hand calculations, and documenting certification reports.

You will ensure compliance with design configurations, load paths, mechanical properties, FAR Part 25, and FAA regulations, while mentoring junior staff and supporting various design teams. Up to 25% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronic Engineering
• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering
• 6 years of experience required

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and document certification stress reports with calculations and margins of safety.
• Provide technical support to design and stress groups throughout the build process.
• Ensure all structural analyses and rationales meet Gulfstream stress criteria and FAA regulations.
• Senior Level V stress checks for interior structural substantiation reports and related documents.
• Provide design solutions and mentoring to the stress team.
