Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation Mexicali seeks an Ingeniero Stress III to perform detailed stress analysis using FEM and hand calculations, supporting design changes and substantiating aircraft structure.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical, Mechatronic or Aerospace degree with at least 3 years of experience, plus exposure to CATIA V5, FEMAP/Patran and strong English communication.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 3 years of experience sufficient to perform essential stress analysis tasks.
• Experience with FEM and hand calculations for structural substantiation.

Responsabilidades

• Stress engineers perform analysis and certify structural calculations and margins of safety.
• Provide technical support across design and build processes.
• Ensure analyses and rationale meet Gulfstream stress criteria and FAA regulations.
• Senior Level V performs stress checks for interior substantiation reports.
• Provide design solutions and mentor the stress team.

Bachelor's Degree Mechanical Engineering. Bachelor's Degree Mechatronic Engineering. Bachelor's Degree Aerospace Engineering. 3 years of experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Position Purpose

The Stress group at Gulfstream is responsible for substantiating structural integrity for all engineering changes in Gulfstream models.This is accomplished by performing detailed stress analysis using both finite element modeling (FEM) and hand calculations.Knowledge in design configuration, load paths, mechanical properties, FAR Part 25 regulations and diverse analysis techniques is required. to substantiate aircraft structure.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Stress engineers perform analysis and document certification stress reports summarizing all calculations and critical margins of safety .
• Technical support is provided to diverse engineering groups throughout entire design and operation build processes .
• Stress engineer is responsible for ensuring that all structural analysis and rationale used in design changes that require Stress signature meets Gulfstream stress criteria and FAA regulations .
• The Senior Level V Stress engineer performs Stress Checks for the aircraft interior structural substantiation reports, stress reports and design substantiations .
• Provides design solutions for new custom engineering for the design team, mentoring and feedback to the stress team.

• Recieves support from Stress Engineer IV and V .
• Provides Support to Engineer I and II .
• Supports the Workflows process and Supermarket Carcass of medium complexity .
• Generates hand calculation Analysis .
• Generates medium complexity FEM .
• Generates Subsums reports .
• Generates Stress Reports. .
