Sovos is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to ensure performance, security, and availability of enterprise database environments for mission-critical SaaS apps. You will guide incident resolution across Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Snowflake, Postgres, and MySQL, while mentoring junior DBAs and driving best practices.

You will collaborate with software engineers and tech leads, monitor metrics, optimize designs, and lead patches and migrations with minimal downtime, including

• 7+ years hands-on Database Administration experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.
• Availability to attend the office once a week (Condesa, CDMX).
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning of database internals.
• Solid experience with SQL Server environments.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as SME for Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Snowflake, Postgres, and MySQL; resolve incidents and optimize performance.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and tune queries for throughput.
• Review query designs and schema changes for efficiency and scalability.
• Lead patches, upgrades, migrations with minimal downtime; manage backups and HA/DR testing.
• Mentor junior DBAs and promote database best practices.
• Collect performance metrics and recommend improvements.
• Communicate health, maintenance status, and risks to stakeholders.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to streamline monitoring and root-cause analysis.
