What you'll do:

Job Summary

The Senior Specialist IT is the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the IT function, leveraging expertise in business analysis to interpret business requirements into IT technical design, recommending and implementing analytic solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

The Senior Specialist IT - Business Analyst is an expert in business analysis tools and techniques with extensive experience in IT process and technology transformations and implementations. This role requires a broad business analyst background, experience with advanced business analysis and governance processes, and strong business acumen. It provides thought leadership in driving project objectives forward across regions.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in business analysis and a deep understanding of AI technologies. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities to leverage AI within Supply Chain processes to drive innovation and efficiency, and developing AI-driven solutions.

What you’ll do:

Job Responsibilities

• The Senior Specialist IT will be self-managed, providing estimates for project work, defining business requirements, stakeholder assessment, planning, facilitating requirements elicitation workshops/interviews, analyzing requirements, managing traceability through design, development, and validation. The role involves collaboration across regional and sector organizations.
• Plan the business analysis approach, determine deliverables, estimate effort, and define success metrics.
• Conduct requirements gathering activities (e.g., workshops, interviews, observation), document and validate requirements.
• Assess and communicate requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and solution design.
• Evaluate business needs and justify investments, assessing IT capabilities and determining feasible solutions.
• Analyze, prioritize, and model requirements to ensure focus on critical needs and value delivery.
• Design end-to-end business processes considering input from stakeholders and governance.
• Review IT solution designs to ensure they meet business requirements, including cross-regional considerations.
• Coordinate development of use cases and test scenarios, ensuring successful testing and validation of requirements. Work with cross-functional IT teams to validate applications.
• Lead and mentor small teams of Business Analysts on large initiatives ($5-$10 million).
• Analyze Supply Chain Management processes to identify AI application opportunities.
• Define and develop AI-driven solutions, conduct market research, and stay updated on AI trends.
• Provide training and support on AI tools and techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; preferred in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain, or related fields.
• At least 7 years of IT or relevant experience.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, or tech environments.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and applications in Supply Chain.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI platforms such as Palantir, DemandAI, etc.
• Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies.
• Experience with Supply Chain data in ERP, Planning, and Project Management tools.

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills, with facilitation and leadership abilities.
• Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
