Novartis Farmacéutica S.A. de C.V. seeks a Senior Specialist Finance Controlling and Compliance based in Mexico City (Insurgentes). You will support financial activities, deliver accurate analyses, ensure compliance, and contribute to internal controls and reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, 3–5+ years' experience, SAP proficiency, and strong communication with cross‑functional teams; relocation is not supported.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in financial accounting, general ledger, fixed assets, controls and reporting.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Support financial activities and strategic projects through accurate analysis.
  • Provide general ledger support, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.
  • Prepare and deliver financial analyses and reports with focus on quality and data integrity.
  • Ensure timely reporting including statutory, tax, and consolidation requirements.
  • Act as first-line support for SAP issues in fixed assets, cash management, and GL.

Job Description Key Responsibilities
  • Support financial activities, business decision-making processes, and strategic projects through accurate financial analysis and expert guidance.
  • Provide proactive support for general ledger activities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and deliver financial analyses and reports with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and data integrity.
  • Ensure timely internal and external reporting, including statutory, tax-related, and Financial Consolidation and Reporting System requirements.
  • Act as first-line support for SAP issues involving fixed assets, cash management, and general ledger processes while contributing to key projects.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is a must.
  • 3 -5+ years of experience in financial accounting, general ledger activities, fixed asset accounting, financial controls, and reporting processes.
  • Knowledge of financial compliance requirements, internal controls, audit support activities, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience working with SAP or comparable enterprise financial systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
  • Experience supporting financial transformation projects, process optimization, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience leveraging analytics, automation, AI-enabled tools, and digital technologies to improve reporting accuracy, compliance monitoring, financial insights, and operational effectiveness.
