Job summary

Aspen Technology is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join the Manufacturing and Supply Chain (MSC) Engineering organization. You will lead risk-based quality strategies, develop automation, and ensure quality across planning, scheduling, optimization, production, and supply chain workflows.

You will collaborate with product owners, developers, and QA peers to improve testability, expand automation, and help the team meet PI objectives with confidence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software quality engineering or testing experience.
• Experience designing test strategies and automating tests.
• Experience testing APIs, services, databases, and UI across a modern stack.
• Working knowledge of source control, CI/CD, SDLC practices.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute risk-based quality strategies for industrial software.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests (API, integration, UI).
• Plan exploratory, functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and developers to improve testability and criteria.
• Own quality activities for complex features from refinement to release.
• Mentor engineers in testing practices and promote quality patterns.
