Fanatics Collectibles in Mexico City is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable operational systems across Fanatics Collectibles' global platforms. You will shape backend services and drive automation and reliability.

You will mentor engineers and partner with Product, Data, CX Ops, Compliance, and Finance to implement robust solutions, ensuring observability and high availability for millions of users worldwide.

Formación

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.

This team partners closely with Customer Experience (CX), Trust & Safety, Fraud Prevention, Payments, and Financial Operations organizations to build scalable systems and operational tooling that support millions of users and transactions globally.

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable operational systems that support Customer Experience, Trust & Safety, Fraud Prevention, and Financial Operations across Fanatics Collectibles' global platforms.

• Lead design and implementation of scalable operational platforms and backend services
• Architect systems supporting customer operations, fraud detection workflows, dispute management, payment operations, and trust tooling
• Drive technical initiatives that improve automation, operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability
• Collaborate with Product, Data, CX Operations, Compliance, and Finance stakeholders to define technical solutions
• Improve system observability, resiliency, monitoring, and operational readiness
• Lead technical investigations, root-cause analysis, and incident response efforts
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical coaching
• Drive engineering standards, development processes, and technical best practices

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience designing scalable distributed systems and backend platforms
• Expertise in Python, Java, Kotlin, or Go
• Strong experience with AWS cloud-native architectures and services
• Experience with event-driven systems and service integrations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Code-Writing Contribution
Senior Software Engineers are expected to design and implement complex backend systems, influence architectural direction through hands‑on technical leadership, and deliver scalable, maintainable production code.
