Here’s what you need to know about this position:

THE WORK

Design and develop high-concurrency, low-latency backend services in Java for our real-time advertising platform.

Deploy and maintain containerized microservices using cloud-native AWS tools.

Collaborate with Product, Data, and Frontend teams to build solutions that align with business goals.

Lead code reviews and mentor teammates through pair programming to raise quality and team skills.

Optimize APIs and data pipelines to smoothly handle large volumes of requests at scale.

Monitor system health and tune performance to ensure reliability and uptime.

Document technical designs and manage projects from start to finish, including testing and post-launch support.

NEEDED EXPERTISE

7+ years of backend development experience with Java 21+, focused on high concurrency and throughput.

Strong skills in asynchronous programming, non-blocking I/O, and thread safety.

Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS deployments.

Solid knowledge of SQL databases like PostgreSQL and experience with GraphQL APIs.

Familiarity with non-blocking frameworks such as Vert.x or Netty.

Proven experience optimizing APIs and services to perform efficiently under heavy load, ideally including work with Microsoft technologies or large-scale enterprise environments.

Comfortable working in agile, collaborative, and results-driven teams.

Excellent communication skills and eagerness to mentor through code reviews.
