CONSULTFIZ LATAM, a fully owned subsidiary of Confiz LLC, is looking for Engineer IV - Java in Mexico with at least 10+ years of professional experience in delivering quality software, ideally across the full stack. Depending on expertise, strong candidates may be given additional responsibilities. Responsibilities:

• Design features, evaluate designs, and provide feedback.
• Influence quality standards and measure across the entire solution.
• Identify performance issues and optimize solutions.
• Combine engineering concepts with business understanding to design, document, and implement robust solutions to complex problems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, stakeholders, and product managers to define and implement technical solutions.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements and explain technical details clearly.
• Participate in defining, scoping, and estimating stories.
• Work collaboratively to help the team achieve goals.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and automation, with continuous improvement.
• Lead design and code reviews to ensure high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Promote a DevOps mindset, supporting cloud solutions, monitoring, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Design system integrations considering upstream/downstream impacts.
• Plan and design systems spanning multiple weeks or months with a team.
• Make technical decisions influencing priorities and tradeoffs for business objectives.
• Own systems or designs involving multiple team members, breaking tasks into manageable parts.
• Understand tradeoffs in engineering processes and adjust team workflows accordingly.
• Have knowledge of relevant architecture, networks, or system components.
• Be familiar with industry practices for work tracking and delivery measurement.
• Possess a strong understanding of business strategies and market tactics.
• Lead work processes and design reviews across teams.
• Identify potential gaps and proactively develop solutions.
• 10+ years of experience in delivering quality software, ideally full stack, at Engineer Level IV.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented languages, especially Java.
• Experience with Java Spring Boot, containerization (K8s/Docker), and test automation at all levels.
• Familiarity with infrastructure tools like Gitlab CI/CD and Terraform.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, system design, scaling, and performance testing.
• Experience with cloud technologies, especially AWS.
• Knowledge of databases like Postgres, cache systems for low latency, messaging technologies (Kafka/SQS).
• Understanding of computer science fundamentals and ops tools like logging and metrics (New Relic, Splunk).
