About the Role

The JLL Technologies Software Engineering team aims to bring successful technology-based products to market in a high-growth environment. Our mission is focused on accelerating technology adoption in commercial real estate by bringing creative, innovative, and technical solutions to solve large, complex problems for our clients. We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to architect, build, and lead the development of features for one of our flagship Commercial Real Estate (CRE) products. This product is built on a modern tech stack that includes React with Vite, TanStack Query for data fetching, Python, Django, and the Django REST Framework. In this role, you will be leading the design and implementation of complex full stack features, mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, driving architectural decisions, and establishing technical standards. You will take ownership of significant product capabilities, address critical technical debt, and ensure code quality through comprehensive automated testing strategies. You will also play a key role in evaluating and integrating emerging technologies, including AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex features across the full stack
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers
• Drive architectural decisions and establish technical standards for both front end and back end systems
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and feasibility
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to strategic planning
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable front end architectures using React, Vite, and TanStack Query
• Architect robust back end APIs and services using Python and Django REST Framework
• Lead the integration of AI capabilities and establish best practices for using AI tools like Claude to enhance team productivity
• Design and implement agentic AI features and intelligent automation within applications
• Establish and enforce coding standards, patterns, and project structure guidelines
• Lead refactoring initiatives to improve system architecture and reduce technical debt
• Champion security best practices and implement defensive coding principles across the team
• Design comprehensive testing strategies and write sophisticated unit and integration tests for both front end and back end components
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback on full stack implementations
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex issues across the entire technology stack
• Own deployment procedures and create runbooks for full stack releases
• Create and maintain technical documentation and architectural decision records for both front end and back end systems
• Participate in on‑call rotation and lead incident response when needed

Required Qualifications

Experience & Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent work experience
• 6+ years of professional experience as a full stack developer with demonstrated progression in technical leadership
• Expert‑level proficiency with React and modern front end tooling, including Vite and state management solutions
• Deep experience with data fetching libraries like TanStack Query and performance optimization techniques
• Strong expertise in Python and web frameworks, particularly Django and Django REST Framework
• Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs at scale
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to enhance development productivity and team efficiency
• Experience designing and implementing agentic AI systems and AI‑driven features in production applications
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to tackle ambiguous technical challenges
• Extensive experience with Agile development practices and leading Agile teams
• Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and fostering technical growth within teams
• Passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies across the full stack and AI landscape

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with commercial real estate or PropTech domain
• Contributions to open‑source projects or technical community engagement
