Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Digital Experience Engineering Portals Team. This is a great opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud platforms within Microsoft Azure and the latest UI technologies, while building robust and reusable React components and backend APIs for our Portals.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop front-end webpages and backend services.
2. Collaborate with the team in an agile, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) software development process.
3. Demonstrate a commitment to writing testable, maintainable, and scalable code while actively giving and receiving feedback.
4. Take ownership of key products and features - from software design to project planning and deployment.
5. Provide support and mentorship to other software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or software engineering from a recognized institute.
2. At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
3. Strong conceptual and practical foundation of core Computer Science concepts including Algorithms, Data Structures, Operating Systems, and Object-Oriented Programming.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
5. Ability to learn and adapt quickly to maximize productivity.
6. Self-motivated person with the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
7. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and in an ownership and results-oriented culture.
8. Knowledge of distributed version control system like Git.
9. Working experience of Azure DevOps and Agile Development methodologies like SCRUM.
10. Strong understanding of HTTP.
11. 5+ years of proven experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current web systems.
12. Excellent problem-solving ability.
13. Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, Playwright, and Selenium.
14. Experience in consumption of cloud services and REST Interfaces.

Preferred Technical Skills:

1. Experience with any of the following tools: VS Studio, VS Code, Chrome Dev tools, Postman, and Fiddler.
