Tasks

You'll be instrumental in developing scalable, secure backend systems that power our cross-border payment platform through the Capa API. Our tech stack prioritizes efficiency and reliability, focusing on languages like Node.js or Go, containerization with Docker, and robust RESTful API principles.

This is a hybrid position based in CDMX, offering flexibility while encouraging in-person collaboration to fuel our rapid growth.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Node.js or Go to support seamless payments and FX conversions via the Capa API.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement scalable solutions for handling high-volume transactions, bank integrations, and real-time settlements.
• Apply solid design principles to create maintainable, secure codebases that ensure compliance and data integrity.
• Utilize Docker and related tools for containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments in AWS environments.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs, integrating with PostgreSQL, third-party services, and payment networks.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and process improvements for scalability and reliability.
• Take full ownership of projects from concept to production, aligning with our mission to revolutionize cross-border finance in LATAM.

Requirements

Must Haves

• 2–4 years of professional backend engineering experience, with expertise in Node.js or Go.
• Strong grasp of solid design principles (OOP, clean code, scalable architectures).
• Proficiency with Docker and containerization tools, including deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API principles (design, security, optimization).
• Experience in fast-paced startup settings, with commitment to team and company success.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL databases and AWS cloud platform.
• Working proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Based in or willing to relocate to CDMX for hybrid work.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in fintech, crypto, or payment systems development.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures.
