Vimani AI seeks a Senior Engineer to own the full lifecycle of the data model and product architecture. You will design, implement, deploy, and operate the core systems that power an AI-driven product used in both Mexico and the United States from day one.
You will lead the initial technical team, set engineering standards, and guide the rollout of AI tooling in the development workflow. Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
Are you interested in using artificial intelligence to change how an industry operates after decades of working the same way? Do you want to define a product's architecture from the first line, rather than inherit it? Are you looking for a place where the impact of your work is measured in a company's operations, not in a dashboard metric?
We are an early-stage, high-potential start-up. We are building an artificial intelligence product for a traditional industry, with real operations in Mexico and the United States as users from day one. For now we are working discreetly: we share the details of the product, the market, and the customers during the interview.
What we can share up front is the ambition. Today, in this industry, decisions made in the field are made late and with incomplete information, and those decisions directly affect a company's operations and results. Our goal is to change that: for whoever makes decisions in the field to have today the information that currently doesn't arrive until weeks later.
We are looking for people with a high level of commitment and a genuine orientation toward innovation. This is not a project for someone who wants to execute tasks defined by someone else. It is for someone who enjoys ambiguity, proposes ideas, fails fast, and corrects even faster.
As a Senior Engineer, you will be the company's first technical hire. You own the full lifecycle of what you build: data model, design, implementation, deployment, and operation. You will make the architecture decisions that define the product for years to come, and you will develop the team that builds on top of them.
This is a high-performance environment. Cycles are measured in weeks, not quarters, and the priority is using technology to change the way an industry operates that until now has changed very little.
A significant part of your day is learning. You will come to understand a business you probably don't know, by talking with the people who run it and seeing how they work in the field. The other part of the day is turning that learning into decisions: about architecture, about product, about what to build first and what to discard. That cycle of learning from the field and applying it immediately is the job, not a prelude to the job.
You will have real autonomy and also real responsibility. No one is going to assign you tasks: you will decide what they are.
A founding team of seven people, with no administrative layers. Technical decisions are debated on the merits, not by hierarchy. The project has committed capital to operate without depending on a funding round in the short term.
