Job summary

Quona Capital is seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to design and operate the AWS-based infrastructure powering our AI products. You will integrate Claude as the foundation model, building scalable, secure environments and automated deployments to accelerate product cycles.

You will manage data persistence with RDS/Aurora, implement cost controls, and drive security and observability using Secrets Manager, Datadog, and Grafana, while collaborating with the Cloud/SRE team to meet CNBV/SOC

Qualifications

• 4+ years operating production workloads in AWS (EC2, IAM, RDS/Aurora, S3, Secrets Manager).
• Terraform/OpenTofu, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and Linux administration.
• Claude proficiency and production-grade LLM services.
• Fintech exposure and Python skills are a plus; AWS certs valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate cloud infrastructure for AI products.
• Integrate Claude and manage model routing, gateways, and traceability.
• Ensure high availability with RDS/Aurora, backups, and failover.

About the Role

You will design and operate the cloud infrastructure that supports our AI products. You will integrate Claude (Anthropic) as our foundational model, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-efficient environments, while eliminating manual dependencies to accelerate the development cycle across the engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Automation: Develop infrastructure as code (OpenTofu / Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Docker/K8s) to enable autonomous deployments.
• AI Platform: Integrate core Artificial Intelligence components (API gateways, model routing, traceability) and optimize operational costs (caching, batching).
• High Availability: Administer relational databases (RDS/Aurora with PostgreSQL), implementing automated failover and robust backup policies.
• Security & Observability: Centralize credential management (AWS Secrets Manager) and design proactive monitoring (Datadog, Grafana) to prevent operational incidents.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Standardize architecture with the Cloud/SRE team and ensure regulatory compliance (CNBV, SOC 2, PCI) alongside Security & Compliance.

Required Profile

• Cloud Experience: 4+ years operating production workloads in AWS (EC2, IAM, RDS/Aurora, S3, Secrets Manager).
• IaC & DevOps: Proven experience with Terraform/OpenTofu, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and Linux administration.
• Artificial Intelligence: Technical mastery of Claude and advanced Prompt Engineering; experience operating LLM services in production.
• Desirable: Experience in the Fintech sector, advanced Python, and AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps, or Machine Learning).
