Zillow Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer with strong mobile expertise (Android preferred) to lead technical direction for the Grand Touring Mobile team.

You will own end-to-end delivery, mentor engineers, and build scalable experiences across iOS and Android. You will collaborate with product and partner teams, optimize performance and security, and champion modern engineering practices.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, and supporting production applications or services.
• Experience delivering complex software solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to team-level technical decisions and standards.
• Experience with mobile cross-platform development and high-quality mobile experiences.

About the team

The Grand Touring Mobile team is a six-person, cross-platform product engineering team that owns the experience enabling users to connect with an agent and request tours across the Zillow iOS and Android apps — helping home shoppers move from exploring a new home to purchasing it. We operate with shared ownership of the customer experience, with no platform silos, so you can ship changes across mobile, web, and backend services. We use AI tools as part of our daily engineering workflow, own problems end-to-end, and help shape what gets built.

About the role

We're looking for a strong Senior Software Development Engineer with deep mobile expertise (Android preferred) and a cross-platform, product-driven mindset. You'll help lead the team's technical direction, use AI tooling hands-on to accelerate delivery, own problems end-to-end, and mentor other engineers — building robust, scalable mobile experiences across iOS and Android.

• Architect, design, and implement scalable, maintainable software applications and services that align with business and user needs.
• Lead end-to-end development efforts, including solution design, coding, code reviews, testing, deployment, and monitoring for complex features.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, security, and operability through thoughtful design and observability.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and other partner teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and drive alignment.
• Mentor and coach engineers by sharing best practices in software design, coding standards, and operational excellence.
• Champion modern engineering practices (automation, CI/CD, testability) and contribute to technical standards that improve quality.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City, as we recommend attendance at occasional office events. In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, and supporting production applications or services.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex software solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to team-level technical decisions and standards.
