AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Business Analyst to assess existing reporting and define a future-state reporting strategy and governance model across a broad stakeholder community.

You will map current reporting, interview stakeholders, and articulate requirements to streamline and govern the analytics portfolio. The role emphasizes transforming business needs into formal requirements, prioritizing changes, and establishing clear ownership and a sustainable reporting catalog.

Qualifications

• Strong business analysis and requirements-management experience of at least 4 years.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate requirements workshops.
• Experience assessing and rationalizing an existing reporting or analytics portfolio.
• Strong ability to translate complex business needs into structured business and functional requirements.
• Experience developing process maps, requirements documentation, reporting inventories, and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive inventory of existing reports, dashboards, metrics, and related reporting artifacts.
• Research historical reporting to understand original business need, audience, and use cases.
• Assess current reporting for relevance, duplication, usability, and ongoing value.
• Identify reporting gaps and reports no longer serving a meaningful purpose.
• Develop recommendations to retain, enhance, consolidate, replace, or decommission reporting.
• Define stakeholder groups and personas consuming or relying on reporting.
• Conduct structured interviews and working sessions to understand objectives and needs.
• Translate stakeholder needs into well-defined requirements.
• Reconcile competing requirements and establish a consolidated view of reporting demand.
• Maintain traceability between needs, requirements, reports, metrics, and outcomes.
• Develop a target-state reporting portfolio based on requirements and findings.
• Define which reports should be created, enhanced, consolidated, retained, or decommissioned.
• Prioritize requirements and develop a transition roadmap.
• Establish ownership and accountability for reports, data sources, and requirements.
• Define standards for documentation, definitions, data lineage, and metadata.
