Ampstek seeks a Senior Release Engineer to design, build, and operate release infrastructure enabling reliable deployments across Java and Node.js apps. The role emphasizes CI/CD, Jenkins pipelines, Kubernetes on AWS, and on-call involvement in a distributed environment.

You will collaborate with Software Engineering, DevOps, and Platform teams to support bi-weekly production releases, patches, and automation while improving deployment speed and reliability.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, Release Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Maximum 10 years of total professional experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins and Jenkins Pipelines.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines for Java and Node.js applications.
• Experience deploying or supporting AWS Lambda/serverless applications.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD workflows, build automation, and release management.
• Strong experience with Git/GitHub and modern source-control practices.
• Experience with Docker/containerized applications and microservices.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call support.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable deployments.
• Own and improve release automation for microservices running on AWS and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Manage and optimize Jenkins Pipeline-based CI/CD workflows.
• Build and support application pipelines for Java, Node.js, and AWS Lambda applications.
• Support bi-weekly production releases and day-to-day patch deployments.
• Develop automation tools and scripts using Python and Bash.
• Troubleshoot build, deployment, and CI/CD pipeline issues across multiple environments.
• Support containerized applications and microservices architectures.
• Enable self-service deployment capabilities while maintaining governance and quality controls.
• Collaborate with geographically distributed engineering, DevOps, and platform teams.
• Monitor release performance and identify opportunities to improve deployment reliability, speed, and efficiency.
• Support Git-based development and modern source-control workflows.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for release infrastructure, tooling, and automation.
• Participate in production support and 24/7 on-call rotation as required.
