Rheem Mexicali, S. de R.L. de C.V. is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives and enhance manufacturing processes. You will be the SME for Quality Systems and Core Tools, partnering with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and sales to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes audits, data-driven improvement, and mentoring the quality team in a fast-paced facility focused on customer satisfaction and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, and Control Plans.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Core Tools implementation and continuous improvement (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC).
• Drive customer and internal quality issue resolution using structured methods (8D, DMAIC, A3, RCA).
• Support and improve the QMS in ISO 9001:2015 compliance.
• Lead audits of product, process, and systems.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve quality and performance.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and implement CAPAs to reduce defects.
• Support scrap reduction and cost improvement initiatives.
• Serve as liaison during audits, customer visits, and supplier interactions.
• Mentor quality team members and stakeholders.
