Johnson Electric is excited to announce we are now recruiting for a Sr. Quality Engineer at our Zacatecas, Mexico facility. This position will develop processes and systems to monitor and improve our production performance, with a goal of zero defects and the achievement of world-class supplier status.

Position: Sr. Quality Engineer

Salary: up to 45k MEX Monthly, Benefits

Location: 100% Onsite at Zacatecas MEX Facility

Relocation: Yes, with relocation bonus (typical 1.5 months salary)

Purpose: This position will develop processes and systems to monitor and improve our production performance, with a goal of zero defects and the achievement of world-class supplier status.

KEY responsibilities:

  • Develop, control, and maintain the Control Plan.
  • Review of Inspection Instructions.
  • Follow-up to SPC of production line.
  • MSA compliance of production line.
  • Creating and revalidating PPAPs.
  • Participation in the development and monitoring of APQPs.
  • Perform risk analysis on the released product.
  • Know and comply with customer requirements (CSR) and those applicable to ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO14001.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial, or equivalent).
  • Advanced English communication skills.
  • Data analysis skills, such as trending, confidence intervals, SPC, basic statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of Core Tools, GD&T, CSR, and special processes (applicable CQI)
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949
  • 4+ years’ experience in value-added automotive assembly.
  • 4+ years’ experience supporting new product development in automotive manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with Ford (Tier 1) and Customer Portal
  • Ability to travel internationally for training
