Job summary

Ria Money Transfer seeks a Senior QA Engineer to join its IT team in Querétaro, Mexico. You will advance automated testing practices in a primarily manual environment, collaborating across engineering and non-technical teams to raise software quality and testing maturity.

You will design and implement automation strategies, lead QA initiatives, and ensure robust test coverage with Playwright and SQL-based validation. This role offers growth in a fast-paced payments environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in web testing and automation.
• Experience scaling test automation in teams primarily doing manual testing.
• Good knowledge of QA methodologies, test design, and defect tracking processes.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Excellent English communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in software design discussions, reviews, and test strategy sessions.
• Lead the transition from manual to automated testing with scalable solutions.
• Select, configure, and maintain automation tools (Playwright or equivalent).
• Perform risk and impact analysis and recommend solutions.
• Provide QA estimates for resource and project planning.
• Design, execute, and maintain system and regression tests.
• Create test data and maintain regression test suites.
• Apply SQL knowledge and use Azure DevOps for test management.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommended approaches.
• Develop strategies to streamline testing during implementation phases.
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program functions and outputs.
• Mentor junior team members on applications and job functions.
• Represent QA leadership at status and technical meetings as needed.
