Goods & Services in Mexico is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated tests for mobile and web apps using Appium and Playwright. You will also contribute to manual testing, explore new AI-driven QA approaches, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing processes and product quality.

The role emphasizes building robust automation, reducing manual effort, and ensuring test coverage across platforms while working onsite in Mexico.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in QA engineering with strong focus on test automation.
• Solid hands-on experience with Appium for mobile test automation.
• Solid hands-on experience with Playwright for web test automation.
• Experience designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Knowledge of testing principles: functional, regression, integration, end-to-end.
• Experience with manual and exploratory testing when automation cannot cover.
• Ability to analyze results, troubleshoot, and document defects clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites for web and mobile apps with emphasis on reliability and coverage.
• Develop mobile automation using Appium for key user journeys and device behaviors.
• Create and run manual/exploratory tests when needed.
• Expand automation coverage and reduce repetitive manual testing.
• Analyze failures, investigate defects, and distinguish issues in app vs. automation.
• Identify edge cases and risks to improve product quality.
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and report results.
• Support API testing, including data integrity and error handling.
• Use AI tools to assist test case generation, automation, review, and optimization.
• Contribute to automation standards, strategies, and best practices.
• Maintain documentation of test cases, scripts, defects, and risks.
• Continuously learn new tools/tech and apply AI-enhanced QA methods.
