Job summary

Softtek, founded in 1982, is a global provider of IT solutions delivering predictable outcomes across 20+ countries. Softtek seeks a Senior Python Backend Developer to design and implement scalable Python-based services and RESTful APIs.

You will work with AWS services, FastAPI, and CI/CD pipelines, while building SDKs for internal teams and collaborating with frontend engineers to deliver robust data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong Python backend engineering experience with OOP and design patterns.
• Proven ability to design, build and document scalable APIs.
• Experience developing Python SDKs/libraries for other teams.
• Hands-on FastAPI development and cloud integration with AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and tests with pytest.
• Git workflows and collaboration across teams.
• Frontend basics with React exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based applications and services.
• Build high-performance, multi-threaded and multi-process systems.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services.
• Integrate applications with cloud services and enterprise systems.
• Design and optimize data models and pipelines for ingestion and distribution.
• Analyze large datasets using Pandas/NumPy and ensure data quality.
• Monitor production apps and troubleshoot issues across the stack.
• Support analytical initiatives and cross-team data needs.
