Job Description Summary

Responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources for assigned Gas Turbines and Combined Cycle Power Plant EO (Equipment Only) and EEP (Extended Engineering Packages), primarily in Latin America and in particular in Mexico, but also in North America if capacity situation requires. Leads cross-functional project teams and acts as single customer interface on project level. Shows strong EHS and Quality focus. Knows to set the right priorities and manages risks & opportunities, requires high levels of operational judgment. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing EO (Equipment Only) and EEP (Extended Engineering Packages) and direct or indirect leadership and/or management of project resources for projects with a typical size of 20 to 300 million USD.

  • Provides Projects Leadership and works closely together with sales & tendering, engineering, procurement, logistics, installation & commissioning, EHS, planning, quality, contract management and cost controlling to achieve best possible project results for GE Vernova and customer.

  • Drives project schedule together with Project Planner/Scheduler and Project Team.

  • Proactively identifies and manages Risks & Opportunities throughout the project lifecycle, implements mitigation measures, escalates risks as required for resolution, actively manages Customer Change Orders.

  • Understands and implements Contract Terms & Conditions.

  • Serves as the GE Vernova representative and focal point for the customer on project level, owning the customer relationship for the project duration and driving customer issue resolution.

  • Engages and supports in ITO/tendering phase bringing experience and lessons and ensuring gaps are closed, fulfilment capabilities and execution strategy are robust to ensure the project can be successful in execution.

  • Define and implement the Project execution strategy, challenging all aspects of the project setup with overall object to ensure success of project

  • Oversees project financials, cost out implementation, forecasts, revenue recognition, margin enhancement, cashflow optimization.

  • Provide project status updates and reports in Project Reviews as required.

  • Capture and report project best practices/ lessons learned and Cost-of-Poor Quality cases.

  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems in areas of project management.

  • Promotes EHS performance within the project, construction site and the GE Vernova organization.

  • Reports to the Regions Project Management Leader and escalates critical issues to Management as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master´s degree from an accredited College or University, preferably in a technical and/or business degree.

  • This role requires significant experience in Project Management.

  • Very good command of Spanish and English required.

  • Several years of experience in Power Generation business (or similar like oil & gas) in Project Management and related activities like project engineering, sourcing, installation & commissioning.
