Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Project Controller to drive financial governance and commercial success across complex projects in a global energy context.

The role partners with project managers, regional leaders, and business executives to shape execution strategies, revenue recognition, cash flow, and risk management. You will support planning, forecasting, taxation compliance, and financial reporting while collaborating with finance, operations, and controls teams to optimize profitability

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Project Controlling, Commercial Finance, Project Finance, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, cost control, revenue recognition, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of contract management, claims administration, commercial risk, taxation, and cash flow management.
• Experience in project-driven industries such as energy, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate financial insights into business actions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication across multiple levels.
• Proficiency in English, with experience in global, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project managers and regional leaders to provide financial and commercial guidance across multiple projects.
• Develop and manage project financial execution plans, including revenue recognition, billing, cash flow forecasting, taxation, and commercial requirements.
• Drive project financial performance by optimizing cash flow, profitability, revenue realization, and working capital.
• Lead governance processes and support risk assessment and mitigation across financial, operational, and contractual domains.
• Coordinate reviews, ensure accurate forecasts and cost-to-complete assessments, and align financial performance expectations.
• Provide commercial leadership supporting contract execution, claims management, supplier charges, insurance cases, and negotiations.
• Monitor FX exposure, guarantees, bonds, taxation matters, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to governance, controls, and integrity standards across assigned projects.
• Collaborate with controls, planning, supply chain, finance, and operations to drive data-driven decisions.
• Mentor team members and promote accountability, continuous improvement, safety, and integrity.
