Gentherm Mexico, with plants in Celaya, Acuna and Monterrey, seeks a Senior Production Manager CEL EBU to lead day-to-day operations and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

The role requires extensive experience in automotive manufacturing, ISO standards, and Lean tools, with responsibility for cross-functional leadership and plant performance metrics. This position is based in Celaya, Mexico, and reports to the manufacturing leadership team.

Formación

• ISO14001 / ISO45001
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations
• Experience in the Automotive Industry in a Management position
• Experience in manufacturing products for the Automotive Industry
• Experience in the management of Manufacturing Process facilities
• Raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs
• Lean manufacturing tools such as Kanban, Continuous Flow, 5S, Andon, PDCA, Poka Yoke, Root Cause Analysis, TPM, VSM, Visual Factory, Std. Work, SMED, OEE, Kaizen.
• Knowledge of the business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, leadership, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
• Basic knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Internal Procedures
• Hazard identification and risk assessment procedure

Responsabilidades

• Plan and coordinate plant process activities ensuring quality system continuity and effectiveness
• Direct plant operations with cross-management coordination
• Forecast personnel, space, and equipment needs with Engineering Manager
• Lead cross-plant collaboration to resolve issues
• Coordinate and monitor Superintendent performance
• Work with Production Superintendents to set goals and objectives
• Review supplier quality system performance and drive improvements
• Drive continuous improvement via Gentherm operating system
• Execute Gentherm PCP and Process Engineering Modules
• Operate within standardized ERP system and meet customer specs
• Develop strategies to improve safety, quality, on-time delivery, and efficiency
• Develop personnel under charge

IMPACT AND OPPORTUNITY

Functions at a higher level of the organization to manage and exercise discretion over the day-to-day operations of the essential function.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and coordinate the activities of the process, through review management to ensure the continuity, availability and effectiveness of the Quality system.
• To direct the operation activities of the plant, through the coordination of the different Managements.
• Predict personal needs, space and equipment needs together with the Engineering Manager.
• Teamwork with other Managers to lead and solve character problems between plants
• Coordinate and monitor the performance of the Superintendent.
• Work with Production Superintendents to set goals and objectives.
• Report and review the performance of the supplier's Quality system as a basis for improving our own Quality system.
• Continuous improvement execution through the Gentherm operating system.
• Gentherm PCP Execution and Process Engineering Modules.
• Use of standardized ERP system, as specified.
• Meet the requirements of customer specifications
• Develop and implement a strategy to address/improve all manufacturing metrics by working with others to improve outcomes in safety, quality, on-time delivery, labor, machine and process efficiency (with preventative maintenance), scrap/rework, timeliness and effectiveness of corrective actions, customer service/responsiveness, overhead, and labor.
• Ensure the development of the personnel in charge.

• Supervise Production Managers and verify the initiation of corrective actions.
